The blankets and throws by Udo Schuermann are real cosy treasures. The Cologne-based designer can hardly hide his roots in the world of fashion, as his plaids made from exquisite yarns, similar to haute couture, enhance any interior. And his soft creations literally entice you to wrap yourself in them. Be sure to come and try them out for yourself.

Porcelain master Stefanie Hering also favours the special feel. Gourmets, top restaurateurs and luxury hoteliers serve on her extravagant crockery. We have put together a selection of the most beautiful designs from her eponymous manufactory for you, including the iconic Cielo series with its hand-drilled hole pattern. But also biscuit porcelain, on which the Berliner pours glazes as if liquid metal were sponging in bowls and plates.

Glass, specifically glass from neighbouring Murano, is the material from which a young Venetian studio produces its strictly geometric lamps. Traditionally mouth-blown, to be precise. The designers Melissa Lunardi and Massimo Tonetto call their label Venicem, Chic the luminous cylinders. This fits perfectly with the elegant table and floor lamps.

Sophisticated craftsmanship also characterises the Genoese leather manufacturer GioBagnara. And it is precisely this that gives their furniture, such as the side table from the Structura collection, warmth and even a sensual touch. Here, art director Stéphane Parmentier combines the traditional Italian material with exquisite wood to create a fresh, almost playful design.
