Our
Mission

RoomDresser founders Doris Ambühl and Martin Piffer on the effect of thoughtful interior design

What emotions should the ideal room evoke for you?

Above all, security and warmth. When its proportions and the interplay between colours and materials are just right, it exudes a harmony and sensuality that have a soothing effect.

What do you consider to be the most important and most effective elements of interior design?

You can create wonderful moods with lighting. If high-quality materials are used, you can feel it immediately and you’ll perceive the space as pleasant. That alone will do a lot.

How would you describe your style?

On the one hand, our interiors have a timeless character, which is reflected in our penchant for durable basic materials and understated luxury. But that doesn’t mean we don’t also like to add accents with trendy accessories, stunning one-of-a-kind pieces, and, last but not least, our customers’ own precious objects. Depending on what you’re going for, they give a room freshness, liveliness, or glamour—and emphasize your personality.

« We are driven by a passion to create spaces with our clients where they can recharge their batteries. »
